Book week

Book week was lots of fun for us. We read lots of books and had books read to us in class. We learned that reading is another way of expressing yourself and also using our mother tongue. Thank you to all the guest readers who visited our class and who we visited in the library.

Book Week ties into our unit of inquiry in that we use our voice to communicate in various ways, reading is one of them and the ability to speak different languages as well. Please feel free to come read to us in your mother tongue.

This week...

Valentine's Day

Valentine's day was a day of caring at school. The students chose someone's (we mixed the two classes) name and made a card for this person. The students enjoyed making cards for their friends to show that they care. Thank you to Ronan who shared some cupcakes with the class. At the end of the day we gave our cards to our friends and also enjoyed some ice lollies Neil shared with us.
